HOW TO GET TO SYDNEY OBSERVATORY
Watson Road, Observatory Hill, The Rocks

By train or ferry to Circular Quay
From Circular Quay, walk north along George Street to Argyle Street, through the Argyle Cut and up the steps opposite the Garrison Church. Continue up Watson Road and walk through Observatory Park.

By train to Wynyard Station
Take the York Street exit from Wynyard Station, continue through to Kent Street and walk north along Kent Street to the Agar Steps (next to the tennis court). Climb the steps and turn left into Observatory Park.

By bus
Take buses on routes 431, 432, 433, 308, 339 and 343 to Millers Point and stop at the bottom of Watson Road in Argyle Street. Services on routes 431 and 432 which travel along George Street to Millers Point are the most frequent.

For the Red Explorer Bus 300-500 get off at stop 26 next to the Sydney Visitors Centre in the Rocks. Walk along Argyle Street to Watson Road.

Please note: buses should not drive up Watson Road, as there is nowhere for large vehicles to turn. Passengers can be dropped at the Millers Point bus terminus in Argyle Street. It is only a short walk up Watson Road to the Observatory.

Cars and parking
Visitors can either park in Watson Road or Argyle Street both of which are metered. The Observatory is then only a short walk up Watson Road and through the Observatory Hill Park.

Onsite parking is not available except when booked for persons with a disability by calling 9921 3485. The maximum vehicle size is for a 20-seater bus.
