BOOKED DAY GROUP VISIT
Monday to Friday during school terms
excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday holidays and the afternoon of 31 December
Ideal for seniors, ESL and tourism groups, each tour is guided by an experienced astronomy educator, lasts for approximately 90 minutes and includes: a flight through the solar system in our awesome 3-D space theatre, a look at the night sky in our cosy planetarium and a viewing through a telescope (weather permitting). In the day time group members can safely view the Moon, Venus, bright stars and the Sun using a special solar telescope.

Topics that can be covered during a visit include astronomy and space exploration themes, the site history of Sydney Observatory and the history of Australian astronomy. Dig it: archaeology for Seniors
10am – 11am
Weekdays (except school holidays)
A scientific and heritage hands-on archaeology analysis program with our resident archaeologists. Participants discover the history of Fort Phillip, an 1804 convict-built structure, and see and analyse some of the finds from the 2008 excavations – including gunflints, grapeshot, ceramics, glass, bones and buttons!
