Astronomers podcast on the web

Sydney Observatory on this blog posts a monthly podcast guide to the night sky from the southern hemisphere. We hope that you make use of those, but there are plenty of other podcasts where you can hear astronomers talk about the sky and the Universe.
A fun site with video segments is the one pictured above hosted by the Cool Cosmos Team (the joint Education and Public Outreach group for the Spitzer Space Telescope and the Infrared Processing and Analysis Center) located at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California.
NASA has numerous other podcasts. A list has now been prepared that brings them together from all its various different sections. Try out some of the ones listed here. Which are the best ones?

I’ve fallen temporarily into the world of astronomy by featuring the Carter Observatory, Wellington, in my podcast series called the Museum Detective. Two episodes will be aired, the first is up and the second will be available on 21 April, 2007. An astronomy podcast that I found easy to digest for newbies to the night sky is hosted by Prof. Richard Pogge from Ohio State University, it’s called Astronomy 161 – Introduction to the Solar System – but it would be nice to have podcasts that feature the southern night skies.
The Sydney Observatory is providing a good blog, thanks and keep it up!
