My week at Sydney Observatory- Charlie Mann

Charlie at the historic Time Ball
My name is Charlie Mann. I am a year 10 student, and I have just completed a week of work experience at Sydney Observatory, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were friendly, funny, the Observatory building is interesting, the telescopes are MASSIVE and the other work experience students were also quite nice. The highlights of my week included dropping the Time Ball on top of the Observatory roof, standing on top of the Observatory roof, taking photographs of the Sun and finding an excellent convenience store just down the street.
Thanks to all the staff, especially Geoff, for allowing me to experience this opportunity. The lessons learned here I will keep with me for the rest of my life.
