7.45pm – 10.15pm, Monday 4 June
Lunar eclipseOn Monday 4 June, the Moon starts to move into the Earth’s shadow at 7:59pm, leaving the shadow at 10:07pm. At Sydney Observatory, there will be telescope viewing and a 3D Theatre program with talks about the Moon. The event runs from 7:45pm to 10:15pm.

No catering is provided although you will be able to purchase tea, coffee and snacks.

    is this the sort of event that you need to be at for the full times shown or can you drop in a bit later? i may not be able to get there until 9pm and wondered if I will still get the full experience?

      HI, sorry I have not replied earlier Gabrielle. The format for the evening is:
      short talk/ outdoor scopes
      split into groups for the dome/3D theatre
      come back to view using outdoor scopes
